Overwatch 2 Prop Hunt Mode Hits the Game

Overwatch 2 is getting a new game mode and it’s one of the more anticipated additions to come to the game in quite a while. This is Overwatch 2 prop hunt, or mischief and Magic. It’s a take on the popular prop hunt game within the map and world of Overwatch. This is now in the game as a side mode in Arcade. It’s not quite an answer to uncertainty around OWL teams, but it’s a nice update to get.

Prop Hunt originated as part of Garry’s Mod, but it’s gone on to be an important game mode across titles. A prop hunt mode has shown up in titles like Fortnite among others. It’s a popular way to pass some time and especially fun in a game like Overwatch where players know the map’s back to front. The new Overwatch Prop Hunt mode is coming into the game now.

Overwatch 2 Prop Hunt

The Overwatch 2 Prop Hunt mode has come to the game, called Mischief and Magic. It’s a limited-time game mode which is a version of hide of seek. Players transform into a prop and have a limited time to hide in the map. Hunters then search out which props don’t belong to figure out where all the enemy players are.

The OW 2 prop hunt mode has hiders take on Kiriko. They can use a special ability to transform into a different prop. Hunters are playing as Genji using his sword to try and track down each character.

The game mode takes place on Blizzard World. That’s one of the maps that’s built around the history of Blizzard as a wider country. There are some extra props in the area to make this a bit tougher! This mode is only on one map, unlike the spread of best Fortnite prop hunt codes. It’s fun for a side game though.

Even with Overwatch PVE getting cancelled, there are some new game modes coming. Things like OW 2 prop hunt are a great side event in the game and a fun way to spice things up. Hopefully, Blizzard can continue to deliver some of these smaller experiences to add a bit more to Overwatch.
