The Infinite Dab is a Fortnite dance which has the player dab back and forth. The Dab as a move became pretty popular and Fortnite including it in this way definitely helped that.

9. The Worm

The Worm emote is a Fortnite dance which is pretty recognizable. It doesn’t originate in Fortnite though. Along with Take the L it’s another popular pick for when you want to show off your dominance over other players.

8. Pony Up

Pony Up is one of the rarest Fortnite dances. This came out in Season 10. However, players could only buy it if they already had an emote from the Season 2 Battle Pass.

7. Best Mates

Best Mates is another one of the Fortnite dances which is one of the most popular. Its original intention seems to be celebrating with friends. It was in the Season 3 Battle Pass, so this is on the older side of the Fortnite dance list.

6. Electro Shuffle

The Electro Shuffle emote is another item shop Fortnite Dances that’s become pretty popular in recent years. It’s a fun small dance that’s been in the game since its earlier days. It even got a lot of use in early Fortnite esports matches.

5. Tidy

Tidy is one of the music dances in Fortnite dance which was pretty popular when it first released. Coming from a dance popularized by Snoop Dog, it was recognizable. The Fortnite dance hasn’t been back to the item shop very much though.

4. Fresh

Up there as one of the rarest Fortnite emotes is Fresh. This was a dance that made pretty big news when it hit Fortnite, but not because of the emote itself. Fresh is an emote which recreates the Carlton dance from the 90s sitcom Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

The dance caught the attention of the actor who originated it. He felt like he should be due some compensation for the emote. After all, Epic was selling it for V- Bucks. It led to a bit of a scandal over if a dance move like this can be copyrighted, or if Fortnite should be giving cash to anyone whose dance it depicts in-game.

3. Take the L

One of Epic’s most iconic toxic emotes is Take the L. This is one of the Fortnite dances which is mostly used to show off to players that you’ve just eliminated. In it, the player puts an L on their forehead and does a particularly disrespectful dance. This move is now famous for getting thrown out in spite when a sweat takes you down.

2. Floss

The Floss might be the dance most associated with Fortnite! This is a style of dance in-game that’s become synonymous with the game. Fortnite didn’t invent it, but the Floss is probably the first thing that comes to mind when you think about people doing Fortnite dances.

In the real world, this dance has led to some pretty funny moments. Maybe most notably when Ninja, at an in-person New Year’s Eve celebration, attempted to get a very unenthusiastic crowd to floss with him. It didn’t go well.

Inside the game and out, The Floss is definitely one of the most popular picks on the Fortnite dance list.

1. The Default Dance

Another of the Fortnite dances that has achieved a highly iconic status in the game is the default dance. This is the dance move that’s automatically unlocked for every brand-new player. That’s given it a certain reputation in the game.

The default dance has become a way of signalling that someone is a brand-new player. New enough that they’ve not bothered to move their default emotes yet. If you spot a default, default dancing in the wild though, it might not actually be from sheer newness in the game.

Doing the default dances in Fortnite on someone is one way that players can show off after a major win. It’s become a bit of a meme in the game. All of this makes it a great pick as the best Fortnite dance.
