We’ve just got the latest update for Chapter 4 Season 4, Fortnite patch v26.20! The latest patch has brought the C4 S4 Battle Pass Bonus Skin into the game, but it has also fiddled with Augments, Snapshot quests, and brought back some classic items! This is what’s changed with the latest update.

What’s New in Fortnite Patch V26.20?

Bonus Skin

Most players will likely quickly notice one major change, the bonus skin is here. Players can now play through the Ashoka Tano quests to unlock the skin and other cosmetics. You’ll need to complete the quests to get this skin, not just level up.

New Items and Star Wars Mechanics

Since a new Star Wars skin is here, the items are back too! Just like every past Star Wars update, there’s a melee weapon coming back, lightsabers. There’s a new one to tie in with the bonus skin too, a white lightsaber.

These lightsabers are also bringing back rift gates. These were a new feature for the last Star Wars crossover, players can enter them and receive a Force Ability, like push, pull, or throw.

Augments Changes in Fortnite Patch V26.20

As is becoming traditional, Epic has once again decided to mess with Fortnite Augments this update. We’ve got a few new augments added to the files. This is what they do.

  • Marksman Headshots – Rifle headshots have increased headshot damage.
  • Ninja Training – Increasing movement speed while you’re crouching.

In recent seasons, we’ve been getting a change in Augments with every update added to the game. This is great for keeping things dynamic, especially since the Chapter 4 Season 4 Augments didn’t start as powerful as the past few seasons.

New Item Shop

Another new feature is a big change to the Fortnite item shop. Items are now visible on the right-hand side of the shop. A new Fortnite item shop interface is apparently still being worked on. This is just one of a few changes we’ll likely see made over the next few Fortnite patch notes.

Other Changes in Fortnite Patch v26.20

Those are all of the headline changes. However, there have been a few other smaller changes recently which affect the balance of the game. These are the recent balance adjustments made with the last hotfix and this update.

  • Ranked Mode is back for Solo Zero Builds.
  • Ray Gun Buffed – charges faster and fires faster.
  • Ka-Boom Bow – Fast in charging, reloading, and explosion bug has been fixed.
  • Slurp Juice – You only get one in each drop now, not two.
  • Havoc Suppressed Assault Rifle – Buffed, more damage and better fire rate.
  • Foundation’s MK-Seven Assault Rifle – Slightly nerfed, fires slower and reduced damage. Still pretty lethal.
  • Sticky Grenade Launcher – Slower and takes longer to reload. Now the delay when doubling-pumping, like shotguns.
  • Gunnar’s Stinger SMG – Does more damage and has less recoil.

A few of these Mythic alterations are going to make the game quite a bit more balanced this season. Between this and all of the new content in the Fortnite V26.20 patch it’s a pretty exciting time to be in the game.
