Fortnite is no stranger to crossovers. The game has basically become the Smash Bros of Battle Royales. A lot of the biggest names in gaming are represented across Fortnite skins. Now, it looks like another giant of the medium is getting added to the game soon though. Current leaks are pointing towards a Fortnite WoW crossover coming really soon!
A Fortnite World of Warcraft crossover might be the next new collab coming to the game. This is what’s happened with these leaks and what we can expect from them.
Fortnite WoW Crossover Leaks
The Fortnite WoW crossover first appeared how most of Epic’s new content does, in leaks. With every update, we tend to find more and more leaked Fortnite skins, items, and other inclusions in-game. Interestingly though, these Fortnite World of Warcraft leaks haven’t come from the Battle Royale. The game is still on its summer break so we don’t have any new content for a few more days. Instead, it’s a new World of Warcraft patch that’s alerted fans to a potential Fortnite collab.
The WoW 10.1.7 PTR patch apparently contained a large number of FN easter eggs. While not necessarily tied to a new update coming to the game, there’s a real possibility this is part of a double-sided crossover. We could be seeing FN get WoW content and WoW get FN content! Some new spells have appeared which have descriptions that point towards the Battle Royale. This is what we’ve found.
Leaked Descriptions
- Cranking 90s – The Renegade Looter rapidly constructs a tower to gain the high ground.
- One Pump – The Renegade Looter carefully aims a deadly shotgun blast, inflicting 1000 fire damage to any players hit.
- Shockwave Bomb – The Renegade Looter throws a Shockwave Bomb at the ground knocking them and players away.
- Slurp Drink – The Renegade Looter Slurps refreshing juice, healing 2% health every second.
- Disco Bomb – The Disco Bomb explodes, causing anyone within 3.5 yards to dance uncontrollably and increase damage taken by 50% for 5 seconds.
- High Ground – While on the high ground, the Renegade Looter’s damage is reduced by 99%
- Glug jug – Consume the Glug Jug to restore full health
- The Storm – The Storm inflicts 10 Nature damage every 1 second to players not within its eye.
All of these descriptions are pretty obvious hints at the Battle Royale. Does this mean we’re getting a crossover though?
Is a WoW in Fortnite Crossover Coming?
The above leaks are all associated with one character in World of Warcraft, the Renegade Looter. At the very least, we’re getting hints of upcoming WoW Fortnite content. We don’t have any indication from the game itself at the moment though. There is no guarantee Fortnite World of Warcraft features will come, or even Fortnite outfits crossing over with the game.
If we see some Fortnite WoW items start to pop up in the files for the game, we can safely say there’s a crossover coming. For now, it’s a bit of a mystery what these leaks are hinting towards.
