Fallout 76 2022 Roadmap to be Revealed

If there was ever an award for the most up-and-down MMORPG in history, it would go to Fallout 76. This title has gone from strength to weakness; from rise to fall, and back again. Since it launched in 2018, Fallout 76 has, for the most part, suffered immeasurably at the hands of fans. However, for a while now, the game has established a sense of glory, being updated regularly (maybe not regularly enough) by Bethesda Game Studios. Now, we’re apparently mere days from learning more about the Fallout 76 2022 roadmap.

It’s an exciting time for fans of the franchise, such as myself, as this live service MMORPG is nothing without fresh content. Unfortunately, it has been lacking somewhat, as for several months, fans have been forcing themselves to replay the same content over and over again while waiting for new content drops. There were once expectations that 2022 will be a great year for Fallout 76, and that’s still a hopeful statement.

So, what might the Fallout 76 2022 roadmap look like?

Big Things Are A’Coming

Reportedly, Bethesda Game Studios, the developer behind the Fallout 76 platform, has been creating endlessly behind the scenes. In the meantime, fans of Fallout 76 have been left wondering what’s coming next. In recent weeks, the Fallout 76 platform has suffered from a slight drop in players, with the core fanbase getting a little bored of waiting around. Furthermore, there have been a few issues and controversies surrounding the platform, such as BGS’ decision to list Fallout 76 Fasnacht masks in the store, allowing players to pay to essentially skip a ‘collectors queue’.

It’s a long story, trust me.

However, in a statement posted on the Bethesda website, it was explained that:

We know that we’ve been a little light on announcements in recent weeks, and that’s because we’re working hard on what’s to come. We’ve got exciting plans in store for Fallout 76 this year, and we can hardly wait to share a look at them with the community in our 2022 roadmap a little later this month.

Currently, fans are neck-deep in the annual Fallout 76 Fasnacht Day parade, an event that runs throughout the majority of February. Once that event has ended, there are some minor content drops coming, but nothing too hefty for players to really sink their teeth into. For instance, in the coming weeks, Fallout 76 players should be getting access to the Invaders from the Beyond update, which will bring alien invaders to the Appalachian wasteland.

Apocalyptic Expectations

Let’s be honest, the big talking point is the impending Pitt Expedition. This was announced several months ago, and as far as we know, it’ll bring a huge expansion to Fallout 76’s base experience. This Expedition will be the first in a series of such expansions, and it’ll permit players to leave Appalachia for the first time ever.

But, outside of the teaser trailer, we know absolutely nothing about the expansion, which is hugely unfortunate. There are high expectations that the expansion will surface in 2022, but it’s anyone’s guess. Hopefully, this is what Bethesda has been working hard on, and we’ll see something revealed very, very soon.
