The format for the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2023 is very simple. There’s a European bracket, and an Americas bracket, each of which holds eight teams.

Each of these brackets is a straight shootout, with best-of-three matches all the way to the Final of each. The Final for both brackets takes place on the 8th of October, so it’s a short tournament! While the cash prize on offer isn’t huge, both offer the winners an automatic place in the BLAST Premier Fall Final 2023, so there’s plenty worth playing for.

Controversially, this tournament will be played on CS:GO. With just about every team practicing Counter-Strike 2, it’ll be interesting to see how the teams slip back into CS:GO mode. The entire event takes place online, which comes with its own advantages and disadvantages to contend with.

Here’s the list of teams competing at the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2023:

BLAST Premier Fall European Showdown 2023 Teams:

The European Bracket

The real quality in this tournament lies in the European bracket. G2 and ENCE are obvious favorites to progress, with BIG and Cloud9 next in line to compete.

Alliance are here due to Victory Zigzag being suspended after match-fixing and cheating allegations against a number of its players, so it’s a big learning opportunity for them.

Truthfully, it’s hard to see any real upsets here. That won’t stop us from hoping for another CS:GO BLAST Premier 2023 tournament Cinderella run, though!

The Americas Bracket

Here’s where things get interesting. Liquid have recently benched Rainwaker, and will play with coach daps in his place. This could cause huge issues against Forsaken. Imperial have a stand-in of their own against Party Astronauts, and FURIA have looked very beatable lately.

Look out for Legacy in the BLAST Premier Fall American Showdown 2023 – the team is home to the legendary coldzera. He may not be at the level of his prime, but it’s always fun to watch a legend in action.
