First Look at New Warzone Map is Revealed by Activision
In a minuscule snippet of content, we’ve had our first look at Call of Duty’s new Warzone map, which is expected to drop with Modern Warfare III next month. It’s almost nothing to write home about, but of course, Call of Duty creators far and wide are attempting to pull blood from the stone. This snippet of the new Warzone map is visible in a five-second clip published to the Call of Duty Twitter profile, which shows a static image of a landscape.
This image is captioned with a few promises of what’s going to be shown at COD NEXT on October 5th, though. It’ll be the ultimate reveal event for the next generation of Warzone, and despite us only having had Al Mazrah as a map for around ten months, many fans are very eager to see the back of it. Fortunately, it looks as though the new Warzone map is pushing us back into an urban, city-based environment – which is a good thing for fans of Verdansk.

The New Warzone Map Will Soon Be Revealed

There are three key things fans of Warzone should watch out for when COD NEXT goes live on October 5th:
- ‘New Map Premiere’
- ‘Live Gameplay’
- ‘Game Features Deep Dive With Raven’
Alongside a world-first multiplayer reveal for Modern Warfare III, fans will also get a look at what’s next for Call of Duty Mobile, and of course, Call of Duty Warzone. It’s a highly anticipated event that will see countless creators in attendance, and it’ll reveal everything we could possibly need to know about the Call of Duty ecosystem for the next year or two.
It’s also where fans can unlock some exclusive in-game content, so it’s well worth tuning in on Twitch or YouTube.

In the short clip of the new Warzone map that was uploaded to Twitter, not much is given away, but we can see a few things:
Firstly, it looks like a more ‘urban’ map than Al Mazrah – but it also looks like a developing environment. There are construction sites in the back that could lend themselves to structures that are built over time as updates roll out, giving us a dynamic map. There are waterways, too – and in the distance, there’s what looks like a small boat. We can see a port area front and centre that’s reminiscent of the area of the same name from Verdansk, and off to the left, there’s an island that boasts some greenery and some kind of older-looking structure.
So, it’s not much to take away, but it’s not nothing. Fear not, fans – there are just a couple of days in the way of you as you exist now and you bursting at the seams with Call of Duty Warzone knowledge. If you stay tuned to Esports.net and our Call of Duty news feed, you can’t go wrong.
