First Call of Duty Zombies Trailer Released for MWIII
Hours ago, Activision released an all-new cinematic Call of Duty Zombies trailer for the upcoming release of Modern Warfare III – and it looks amazing. It’s an effort to flesh out the world around this all-new Zombies experience, which will be the first of its kind in the Modern Warfare universe. It’s also reportedly going to be the biggest and most ambitious Zombies game in history, boasting a massive open world, multiple squads, and an extraction-shooter-styled platform.
In this all-new trailer (which you can see below), we get an idea of how exactly the initial outbreak of the undead took place. It’s all tied up with one Victor Zakhaev, a legendary villain in the Call of Duty universe. However, this side game brings into play elements from both Black Ops and Modern Warfare, so expect to see the likes of Weaver referenced alongside Soap and Ghost. Modern Warfare III’s Zombies Trailer Looks Insane

It’s four-and-a-half minutes of epic action, with Activision and Treyarch working to build the world that’ll serve as the foundation for this Zombies experience. In the trailer, we’re introduced to various characters – and re-introduced to many more – and we see the origins of the Zombies themselves. There is a series of vials that contain some kind of biological weapon, and upon fragmentation, these vials cause humans to turn into the Zombies we’ve known and loved for years.
They sound like classic Black Ops Zombies, which is nothing but a win – that’s considered to be the best COD Zombies game ever.

In a lengthy post on the Call of Duty blog, the lore of this new Zombies trailer was expanded on. It was revealed that in the wake of the outbreak, the CIA gets involved, and the likes of Kate Laswell, Ghost, Torch, and Sergei Ravenov head into the region as part of Operation Deadbolt. It’s all about the Aetherium again in this iteration of Zombies, but the game itself couldn’t be more different if it tried.
Why is COD Zombies so Different This Year?
If you enjoyed Cold War’s Outbreak mode, then you’ll like Modern Warfare III’s Zombies mode. It’s the biggest and boldest offering Treyarch has ever created in the Zombies space, and it takes the form of an extraction shooter – much like 2022’s COD DMZ. It’s something never before attempted in the Zombies space, putting several groups in the same arena to either fight together or take one another down amidst the hordes of the undead.
It’s expected that there will be a host of quests and tasks to complete, objectives to secure, and loot to extract in this version of Zombies. If it’s anything like DMZ, it’ll boast awesome PvPvE experiences that make the game even more challenging than if you were facing just AI-powered enemies.
On November 10th, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III will be released, and this iteration of COD Zombies will be ready and waiting alongside it.
